Laying the Foundation for Total Health
Chiropractic care is like building a house - certain things have to happen in a particular order in order for everything to stand strong and work correctly. When building a house, if you tried to put up your walls before you had a solid foundation, your walls would be weak and eventually collapse. If you tried to put on your roof before the walls were ready, you would run into the same problem. The same is true for your body. Your body has to go through a particular plan of care in order to repair itself correctly and fully. There are three general phases of chiropractic care:
Phase 1: Pain Relief
A thorough spinal examination reveals areas of nerve interference (subluxations) inhibiting your body's ability to adapt... leading to your current "effect" ( refer to The Effects of Subluxation Handout). Based on these findings, we recommend a care plan specifically designed to give you the best results in the shortest amount of time. this may include; Spinal Adjustments, Exercises, Electric Muscle Stimulation, and Nutritional Recommendations. Each visit builds on the progress of the ones before, like going to the gym. Keeping your appointments is crucial to your recovery.
Phase 2: Stabilization Care
This stage builds off of Phase 1. Pain levels subside but the healing process continues. Remember, "Pain is the last to show and first to go". The absence of pain does not indicate the presence of HEALTH! It's important that we don't lose all of the effort you have put in to get to this point. We will do a Re-Examination at this point to check the progress and ensure you are getting the results you deserve. We will continue your healing momentum, stabilizing your spine.
Phase 3: Wellness Care
This phase builds on the progress, commitment, and investment you've made through Relief and Stabilization Care preparing you for a life time of Wellness Care. This stage is the most important stage for 1 simple reason, we are still living life, still doing and enjoying many of the same things that got us here to begin with. Our patients continue with regular chiropractic check-ups or "tune-ups" note because they're in pain but because they understand what it mans to be healthy and live proactively and not reactively. Like regular dental check-ups, spinal hygiene is especially important when subjected to daily life stressors. These "stressors" interfere with the ability of our nervous system to function at optimal potential. This is when the "effect" can set in. Our recommendation is to follow a plan that supports your lifestyle. Having your spine adjusted on a periodic basis will help ensure that you are living to your potential!
